Kuitan Rescues Open House
On June 29, 2002 Kuitan Rescues
of Stanwood, Wa. held their annual Open House. This educational event is
designed to introduce people to the world of the equine rescue, and the
horses currently up for adoption. Visitors can also learn about the
health care techniques used to return the rescued horses to physical and
emotional health.
This is the second year that I have participated in this worthwhile
event. I have found it a lovely way to support the rescue and the
important work that it does. It's also a wonderful way to introduce
people to some of the healing therapies that I use in my work.
Many thanks to Cheryl Arnold and the Kuitan staff for hosting this
wonderful event!

Here I am explaining the Acutonics® Integrated Healing
System and how it can benefit animals' health.

Here's my husband Matt
helping me out at my booth.
He also took all the photos seen on this page (except this one, of
course).
Thanks Matt! I should also mention that Matt has a fabulous
website.
It features a literary analysis of the Joseph Conrad novel, "Nostromo."
It's a must-see for anyone interested in English literature.

A demonstration of equine massage. Massage can help the body
in many ways. For the rescue horses it has the extra benefit of
re-establishing trust through touch. This is important as
most rescue horses have a long history of abuse. Changing their
feelings about human touch can help save their lives.
For a lighthearted look at the benefits of massage
see my "Massage Libs" here.

A demonstration of Acutonics with horses. Pain-free and completely
non-invasive, Acutonics works beautifully with animals. At Kuitan, I'm
frequently faced with terrified horses, some of whom can't even be
touched at all due to past abuse. Sound healing is both non-frightening
and effective not only in building trust, but in soothing tense bodies
and quieting sensitive, high-strung minds. For more about Acutonics with
horses click here.
