Getting the Body in Tune with Acutonics

Using sounds to heal?
If it seems like a strange concept, it shouldn’t.
The use of sound and harmonics (music) to heal can be found in many, many cultures and throughout recorded history. References to the use of music as a healing tool date back as early as 5000 BC and can be found in Ancient Egypt,
Samaria , Greece , Rome , China , Africa , and the ancient Americas .

“To the Greeks, the word kosmos meant not only the world, it also meant harmony.
1” The use of music in the ancient Greek world was so important to their world view that they created a concept called, “The Music of the Spheres.” The famous Greek scholar and healer, Pythagoras, said that the cosmos consisted of a series of spheres (the planets and stars to us today) moving at differing speeds and producing individualized sounds. Therefore, the heavenly bodies were always in motion and always creating a harmony of music. The heavenly symphony of “the Music of the Spheres” became such a powerful concept that it was continually studied by philosophers, physicists, and mathematicians all the way up to the 20th century.

The Acutonics Healing System® draws on these ancient teachings to create a new fully integrated system of healing and education.

Acutonics is a powerful, non-invasive healing system that uses sound vibration to re-harmonize and attune the human energy field. It has been used successfully to treat a wide variety of conditions including musculo-skeletal, neurological, immunological, gastrointestinal, respiratory, emotional, and psychological.

Sound healing treatments are an effective way to achieve optimal health, actualization and wholeness.

Staying in Rhythm

Here are some of the tools I use in my sound healing work:

bullet

Acutonics® precision-calibrated tuning forks. These tools are used in pairs of sounds to create sound intervals, all of which create specific changes in the pattern of energy in Acupressure meridians. They can also be used on various muscles to create deep relaxation.

bullet

Tibetan Singing Bowls. Ancient metal bowls traditionally made from seven distinct metals. These bowls can be used for deep relaxation and grounding.

bullet

Tincha Chimes. Small hand-held cymbals that can be used to help speed healing.

Setting the Tone: First Sessions

Each body reacts to sound differently. In order to choose the best Acutonics treatment for each individual I call my first sessions, “setting the tone.” In these initial sessions the client’s body is allowed to adjust to changes slowly and reset to a healthier and clearer tone.

Tuning the Body: Following Sessions

After the first two sessions the client is ready for regular sessions. These treatments are usually an hour and can address a wide variety of health conditions from allergies to muscle cramps.

If you'd like to schedule a sound healing session you can contact me here.
